Why so much saving on energy?
Most of the energy consumption of calibration machines comes from the vacuum pumps and cooling water pumps. These pumps are often explained at the maximum suction power required which only applies when starting the process!
In order to realize the significantly lower suction power required during the continuation of the process, a lot of leakage air is usually allowed into the process until now. Thus, the operator sets a desired pressure at the different places of the process. In the process, the absorption of electrical energy remains consistently high, resulting in a huge energy loss.
The application of an intelligent BluVac system greatly reduces operating costs!
When starting the process, there is a lot of leakage air and the vacuum pump will run at full speed. Shortly thereafter, however, there is much less leakage air and the pump will run at a much lower speed with a significant reduction in power consumption!
This is achieved by constant measurement (sensors) of the pressure and water level in the system.
Optimized calibrators with minimal leakage air quantities achieve the highest energy savings.

A practical (mathematical) example
At a producer of profiles where 67% savings are achieved!
– Previously:
Production line with 3 unregulated vacuum pumps type VN125
Electrical power consumed: 3 x 5.2 kW= 15.6 kW
– After installation of BluVac system:
Electrical power consumed: 3 x 1.1 kW= 3.3 kW
At 4,000 operating hours per year, the savings are 49,200 kWh
At an assumed cost of €0.10/kWh, the savings are approximately €5000.00 per year
An additional saving is operating water consumption. Less consumption also means less cooling energy needs to be supplied to the water.
BluVac systems therefore quickly pay for themselves!
