FAQ – Master Blower MB 2300

Frequently asked questions about the MB 2300

What is the difference between the MB 2300 and a side channel fan?

The MB 2300 is a high-speed turboblower that offers higher efficiency at comparable air performance. This often allows operation with lower engine power, resulting in lower energy costs and higher efficiency.

Is the MB 2300 suitable for continuous operation?

Yes. The MB 2300 is designed for both continuous and cyclic operation and provides stable airflow during prolonged operation.

For what applications is the MB 2300 best suited?

This model is often used in compact machinery, drying processes, component cooling and lighter pneumatic conveying applications.

How do I determine what power is needed within the MB 2300 series?

This depends on the desired air volume, pressure required and operating time. DOVAC assists in determining the correct operating point.

What is the difference between a turboblower and a conventional blower?

A turbo blower, such as the Master Blower series, operates on a high-speed principle in which air is efficiently moved at very high speeds. As a result, for comparable air performance, it is often possible to operate at lower motor power than conventional blowers or side channel blowers.

Key differences:

  • Higher efficiency at the same air volume
  • Lower energy consumption at correctly selected operating point
  • More compact construction at higher performance
  • Suitable for frequency control and precise process tuning

In high duty cycle applications, this can result in significant energy savings and lower operating costs.

The exact differences depend on the operating point and application. DOVAC supports an objective comparison based on air volume, pressure and operating time.

Master Blower MB 2300

The Master Blower MB 2300 is a compact high-speed turbo blower that excels in energy efficiency, stability and performance. With speeds up to approximately 20,000 rpm, this blower delivers high air volumes at relatively low power consumption, making it well suited for industrial applications where continuous or daily operation is desired.

Thanks to its compact design, the MB 2300 is easy to integrate into machines and production lines without compromising on air capacity or pressure build-up.

Key features

  • Very energy efficient relative to air performance delivered
  • High flow at compact dimensions
  • Suitable for both blowing and sucking
  • Flexibly controllable through wide operating range (frequency controlled)
  • Stable process air for continuous or cyclic use

Energy efficiency & cost savings

A key advantage of the MB 2300 is its low energy consumption compared to traditional blowers or side channel blowers. In many applications, it is possible to operate with significantly lower motor power while achieving the same or even better process performance.

Indicative calculation example

In practice, the MB 2300 is often used as an alternative to a blower of about 13 kW.
When choosing an MB 2300 with 5.5 kW, the following difference arises:

  • Power reduction: 7.5 kW
  • Electricity price: €0.50 per kWh

This results in:

  • €3.75 savings per hour
  • €30 per day (for 8 hours of operation)
  • €600 per month (20 working days)
  • approximately €7,200 per year

This makes the MB 2300 particularly interesting for high duty cycle applications, where energy costs play an important role in the overall cost structure.

Actual savings depend on the operating point and application. DOVAC assists in determining the optimal power and associated savings.

The MB 2300 is available in several power ratings:

MB 2300 / 5.5

  • Motor power: 5.5 kW
  • Max. air volume: approx. 1,800 m³/h
  • Max. vacuum: approx. -140 mbar
  • Max. overpressure: approx. 170 mbar

MB 2300 / 7.5

  • Motor power: 7.5 kW
  • Max. air volume: approx. 2,100 m³/h
  • Max. vacuum: approx. -180 mbar
  • Max. overpressure: approx. 190 mbar

MB 2300 / 11

  • Motor power: 11 kW
  • Max. air volume: approx. 2,300 m³/h
  • Max. vacuum: approx. -180 mbar
  • Max. overpressure: approx. 220 mbar

Typical applications

The Master Blower MB 2300 is used for, among other things:

  • Drying of packaging, bottles and product surfaces
  • Cooling of components and machinery
  • Process air in automation and handling
  • Compact pneumatic conveying applications

The combination of compact construction and low power consumption makes this model especially suitable for OEM applications and production lines where efficiency and reliability are key.

Consulting & Selection

The right version of the MB 2300 depends on the desired air volume, pressure level and operating time. DOVAC supports in selecting the right configuration and helps in understanding the possible energy saving potential.
